Contraception

A quick and easy questionnaire is used to determine the safety of
using hormone-based contraception and emergency contraception.

 

Hormonal contraception options include:

  • Combined oral contraception pills (estrogen and progesterone
    hormone-based)

  • Progestin-only contraceptive pills
     

Emergency contraception options include:​

  • Selective progesterone receptor modulators

  • Progestin-only pill

  • Combined progestin and estrogen pills

Menstrual Irregularities

Consultation includes a general evaluation of abnormal uterine bleeding, menstrual irregularities, premenstrual syndrome-related symptoms, and any cycle changes.

 

Note: Any active or heavy bleeding and/or instability in overall health should be evaluated at the nearest emergency room.

Infertility Counseling

Basic infertility evaluation includes history assessment, "ovulation window' assessment, and recommendations regarding timing of intercourse. 

Note: Referral to an infertility Specialist is will be recommended for non-assisted reproductive treatment (intrauterine insemination) and assisted reproductive treatment (in vitro fertilization), and imaging/laboratory testing and evaluation.

Menopausal Symptoms

Consult to support menopausal symptoms including hot flashes. Visit provides recommendations based on up-to-date research and information and life-style changes.
